The Rock Show with Johnnie Walker - BBC Radio 2 (2024)

Johnnie Walker was an English radio disc jockey and broadcaster. He began his career in 1966 on pirate radio station Swinging Radio England before joining Radio Caroline. Then joined BBC Radio 1 in 1969 and BBC Radio 2 in 1998. From 2009 to 2024, he presented Sounds of the 70s on Sunday afternoons and The Radio 2 Rock Show on Friday nights from 2018 to 2024.

On his final Rock Show, on October 25, Johnnie played his favorite rock anthems from artists as The Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, The Kinks, etc.

Guests of the episode were Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason and Aubrey Po Powell artistic director of the band who recalled the period in which The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn was recorded.
